Marin Human Race 2003

21st year of the Marin Human Race, a program of Marin Nexus (now known as Center for Volunteer & Nonprofit Leadership). This is the largest community event in Marin County allowing non-profits, schools and community groups to use this 4-mile Run-Walk-Roll Race as their FUNdraiser.

	Increased overall attendance from 2,500 to 3,000 people
	25% more race participants — total of 1,968 racers
	Increase in schools participating — from 3 in 2002 to 17 in 2003
	New “Kids Races” and course added to the fun for younger children
	101 nonprofit booths

	7:30am: Warm up exercises get the racers ready for the 8:30am start of the Marin Human Race

	Musicians and choral groups entertained and encouraged the racers around the race course.

	Special kids’ races, held for the first time, were a hit with all ages!





	The Family Fun Fair featured music, snacks, beverages, kids’ activities and 101 nonprofit booths.
